Signage, bilingual style.

A fascinating survey of familiar retail signage in both English and Arabic, compliments of The Dubai Mall. It's a fortunate coincidence that English reads left-to-right and Arabic reads right-to-left, as this makes it both convenient and pleasingly balanced to place the English on the left and the Arabic on the right, making both sides the first read in their respective languages.

I'm particularly impressed with how the Arabic typefaces seem to mimic or at least convey the same visual characteristics of their English counterparts.
